On September 17, 2016, Stellium together with its partners launched its first ever event, Harm(onic) Reduction. It was a full day celebration and music festival held in downtown Oakland which aimed to spread awareness on the issue against human trafficking and exploitation. Over the past few months of planning and organizing the event we have garnered overwhelming support from various leaders, advocates and music artists. It is with their support and engagement that we were able to make this event a reality and success.
The event offered event goers a combination of great music and a chance to not only learn, but to take part in initiatives that fight human trafficking in Oakland. By providing information necessary to take part in the fight against this global scourge that victimizes our people, we were able to mobilize a positive movement.
It was an amazing and memorable time. We’d love to share some of the event highlights:
Our team would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for sharing your time with us on this momentous day and helping us make our first Harm(onic) Reduction event possible. Looking forward to the next one!
All the best,
The Stellium Team
